Valerian Root for horses and dogs is used to help calm, strengthen and support the nervous system in horses, dogs and other animals, without drowsiness. We use it in our supplements to help calm anxiety, nervousness, fear and stress in horses, dogs and cats particularly when it is connected with competition, showing, previous bad treatment, fear of loud noises such as thunderstorms and fireworks, or the introduction of new training. The amount to give varies by animal type and size, for further information on this please contact our helpline. Valerian Root is the ideal supplement for supporting a healthy balanced nervous system. We include Valerian Root in our Equine Calm & Collected range, our Easy Mare range and in our Canine Tranquility range.
Ingredients
Valerian cut root (Valeriana officinalis)
Guidelines:
*please note: we do not include feeding instructions on the packaging or include a scoop in the bag or tub. This is due to the consistency of straight herbs eg roots are more dense than leaves or flowers, and they can be given to a variety of species. For further research on using straight herbs for animals there are some good books available including Hilary Self's "A Modern Horse Herbal".
